PROVE 'EM WRONG

GOING THROUGH HELL

I wanna encourage somebody out there who's thinking about quitting, you're thinking about giving up, this is for you. You're going through a tough time. Maybe you're walking through real depression, maybe you are in a valley today that you've experienced the worst failure of your life and you are on the verge of giving up. Maybe you're here today and your marriage is on the rocks, maybe you're here today and you're dealing with anxiety on a daily basis. You know what it's like to be in a lonely, dark place, you know what it's like to wanna quit, you know what it's like when the pressure's overwhelming, when people expect your best but you're at your worst.
That is a moment of choice. That is a moment of decision. What will your response be? Are you gonna sit back or are you gonna step up? Don't give up. Don't give up. Stay in it. Stay focused. Adversity creates the perfect moment for audacity. It's in your adversity, the thing that comes out of you is what defines you. When life is squeezing you and pressure is on you, what's really inside of you? when life knocks on the door, when you go through some stuff, when you get a bad diagnosis, that's when you have to pull on your faith. That's when you have to be resilient. If it feels kinda dark all around you right now, I wanna remind you, it is is always the darkest before dawn. And dawn is coming. You've got to be willing to go against the tide, you've got to be willing to harness your will and say, in spite of this, I'm in control here. I'm not gonna let this get me down, I'm not gonna let this destroy me. I'm coming back. You can decide that you're gonna stand up to life. You must have faith. You've got to believe in yourself. You've got to believe in your abilities. You got to believe in your service, your company, your ideas, unquestionably. You got to have faith, and that faith gives you patience, that it's not gonna happen as quickly as you want it to happen, but you got to keep moving and keep plugging away. If people ask you, how you doing? Even if you're having some difficult times, say I'm blessed and highly favored. Because anytime you wake up and you don't have a white chalk outline around your body, it's a great day.
And so I say to you, it's possible you can live your dream, if it's becoming a diamond, if it's having more, if it's achieving more, it's being a better father, being a better mother, whatever it is, overcoming addiction, changing our society, it's possible you can live your dream. It's necessary that you have a plan of action, that you're resilient, that you stick to, and you work with the system, that you work with people, that you give support and that you be there for them, that you have the vision and never give up, that you become creative and relentless and keep on coming back again and again and again, and that it's you, that you gotta take personal responsibility to make it happen, and that it's hard, easy is not an option. And when life knocks you down, jump back up and say it's not over until I win.

DISCIPLINE IS EVERYTHING

So I'll hear people say "If you believe it, then you can achieve it!" And the problem with that is they're leaving out the most important part of the equation. And that part is work. Action. Actually doing something. That's what you have to do to achieve anything. Yeah you gotta believe it, but you better get the work done. And most people will not be successful, they will not reach whatever they wrote, because when there's not anything emotionally attached to it, they're gonna quit and give up. Most people were closer than they ever thought that they were to finishing that big thing, but they never finished it because they didn't feel like finishing it. Or they were doing it and there was pain. And most people quit in the pain because the pain hurts so bad that they don't know if they wanna keep going to get the goal. 'Cause you're gonna wake up most days and not feel like it. You're gonna wake up most days not be pumped up...

HOW TO STOP LAZINESS ?

You know who's gonna bail you out? You know who's gonna come and rescue you? You know who's gonna come and save the day? No one. Nobody's gonna lift the weights for you. Nobody's gonna do the pull-ups for you. Nobody's gonna go out and put in the road work for you. You gotta do all that yourself. Now I know in the morning you got that blanket giving you a warm hug. And you got the pillow which is whispering in your ear. Telling you it's okay. Telling you to stay just a little longer. But don't listen to them. They're lying to you. Listen to your alarm clock which is telling you to get up and get some. Listen to the weight room, the pull up bar which is telling you to face reality. And listen to your will, which is telling you to get up and crush everything. Too tired, too hungry, too sore, too hot, too cold, too whatever. People ask me what I do when I get those little feelings running around. Well let me tell you what I don't do, I don't tel...

WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE QUITING

What if you give it everything you have and you come up short? What if you get weak along the way and you throw in the towel on yourself, you surrender to your emotions, what then? Everybody tripping through something. Everybody. I don't care who you are, you going through something. But your great life is in front of you. It's not behind you. What you did back there ain't got nothing to do with what god got for you. What you did back there was learn the lessons to get you to where you are at this particular moment right here. Maybe being weary doesn't mean you're weak. We're in hell right now. And we can stay here, get the sh*t kicked out of us or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb out of hell. One inch at a time. It's okay to fall. Because when you fall, you get back up. What I need you to do, is I need you to find a reason to keep going. And if you can find a reason to keep going, I know you're strong enough to do it 'cause yo...
